SqueezePic re-encodes your image at quality 80 and drops metadata you do not need. Photos saved at maximum quality by a phone or camera usually shrink a lot, while images that were already compressed shrink less. The result depends on the image, so check the new size before you download.

No. SqueezePic keeps the format you uploaded: a JPG comes back as a JPG, a PNG as a PNG and a WebP as a WebP, so links and upload forms that expect that format keep working. Use ImgConvert first if you also want to switch formats.
